Martin University is an inclusive university that proudly serves all who want to receive a quality education. Florence Myers McSwine came to Martin University in the Fall of 2019 to continue her education. Florence happens to be a legally blind student but does not allow vision impairment to hinder her success.
Alongside, Lee Martin, Florence is the co-host for the National Federation of the Blind Newsline (NFBN). This week’s show featured an interview with Dr. Sean Huddleston, President of Martin University. Watch the video below to learn more about the work of the NFBN and why accommodations for disabled students are critical in higher education. The Newsline airs weekly on WHMB TV40 at noon.
