WHO: The community is invited to attend a virtual Juneteenth Celebration held by
Martin University, the Indiana Historical Society and Indy Juneteenth
Celebration. Juneteenth commemorates the 1863 signing of the Emancipation Proclamation and this event will include special presentations as well as reflections on its significance in today’s era.
WHEN: Friday, June 19th, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
WHAT: Notable participants are Susan Hall-Dotson, Coordinator of African American History at the Indiana Historical Society; James and Twjonia Webb, founders of Indy Juneteenth Celebration; and Dr. Sean Huddleston, President of Martin University.
