INDIANAPOLIS, IN –Martin University is proud to announce the appointment of Nickolas Williams as the new Executive Vice President of Institutional Advancement. With over 18 years of experience spanning development, fundraising, sales, and leadership roles across various sectors, Williams brings a dynamic and visionary approach to advancing the university's mission and strategic goals.
Williams will serve as a key member of the President’s Cabinet in his new role, leading all aspects of Martin University's fundraising, alumni relations, marketing, communications, and grant activities. His strategic oversight will encompass significant initiatives such as capital campaigns, donor stewardship, board development, and cultivating philanthropic partnerships with corporations, foundations, and community organizations.

An Indianapolis native, Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Marketing and Management and a Master of Science in Sports Management and Administration, both from Indiana University Bloomington. Before joining Martin University, he held pivotal roles in development at the Indiana University Health Foundation and the Indiana University Foundation, where he successfully raised funds for critical initiatives, including diversity and inclusion efforts, trauma services, and significant capital projects.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Williams co-founded MathTrack Institute, a tech-enabled institution focused on addressing the national shortage of K-12 math and STEM teachers. His dedication to education and community engagement has earned him recognition, including being named to the prestigious Indiana Business Journal’s (IBJ) "Forty under 40" list in 2017.
Williams has demonstrated a passion for creating meaningful partnerships and driving transformative change throughout his career. His leadership will be instrumental in guiding Martin University’s advancement strategy and fostering stronger connections with alumni, donors, and the broader community.
