Martin University Engages with Future Leaders at George Washington High School Career Discovery Day

Senior staff members from Martin University recently participated in the Junior Achievement (JA) George Washington High School Career Discovery Day. This event brought together dedicated professionals to engage with students and support their career aspirations. Pastor John E. Girton, Jr., Professor Vivica Carter, Devon Holifield, and Chanté Wilkerson shared their time and expertise with students, helping to inspire the next generation of leaders.

The Career Discovery Day provided a valuable opportunity for students at George Washington High School (GWHS) to explore various career paths and gain insights from experienced professionals. The interactive sessions allowed students to ask questions, seek advice, and learn about the skills necessary to succeed in their desired fields.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Martin University and community volunteers who contributed their time and expertise to make this event a success. Your participation in the classroom speaker sessions and career discovery meetings has made a meaningful impact on GWHS students and their understanding of potential career opportunities.

Special thanks to Junior Achievement for organizing this initiative and to our partners at Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) and George Washington High School. Your commitment to enriching the educational experiences of our students is invaluable.

At Martin University, we are dedicated to expanding our community engagement efforts to support aspiring post-secondary students. We believe in the importance of providing an inclusive environment that values every student and their career aspirations. Together, we can empower students to achieve their goals and pave the way for a brighter future.

Stay tuned for more updates on our community initiatives as we continue to foster connections that support the growth and success of our future leaders!
