This month's episode of the Martin Insider features AT Ryan & Virgil Giles of the Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC) who discuss what ICRC is to the community as well as upcoming events geared to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
ICRC enforces the civil rights laws of the State of Indiana by investigating complaints of discrimination and educating organizations, companies, landlords, associations, and individuals on their rights and responsibilities under Indiana Civil Rights Laws.
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, Indiana Black Expo, Inc., and AFSCME Local #725 will be hosting the 32nd Annual State of Indiana Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration.
There will be a wreath placing ceremony on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Indiana War Memorial: Soldiers and Sailors Monument including a commemorative light show. On Thursday, January 12, 2023, ICRC will also host a private celebration and award ceremony at 12:00 PM at the Indiana Statehouse.
